Woman’s Gut Health : What I Learned About Maintaining a Healthy Gut
Guys, being a mom is hard.
We spend our days running from one end of the world to the other, trying to accomplish everything in between. We are taxi drivers, chefs, personal assistants, human resource reps, and referees. (And that is all just before nap time.)

Thus, it comes as no surprise that oftentimes, the last thing we consider is ourselves. Yet, without our health, one would assume our families’ lives might stop. (At least for a little bit.) Knowing this fact, and with easy-to-use products like County Life Gut Connection, why are we not spending at least a few minutes per day trying to take care of us?
An Unhealthy Gut Can Cause Major Problems
Have you ever actually stopped to think about the repercussions of ignoring our gut health?
Sure you face the well-known bloating and general discomfort when your system is out of whack. But what about the other factors?
Have you been moody, or a sufferer of anxiety or depression? Did you know that can be linked to an unhealthy gut? Ever had problems with bad breath? Guess what, that can be gut-related too!
It seems that several long-term issues that you might not think about can actually stem from, or be greatly affected by your gut health. (Think chronic fatigue, diabetes, and even eczema!)
So as busy moms, what do we do to improve and maintain our gut health? Better yet, how do we fit it into our already busy schedules?
Several Factors Should Be Considered In Maintaining Gut Health
So here is the skinny of caring for your gut health. No one thing you do is going to be a magic “cure-all” that solves all your issues. While each of the following things will help to keep your gut health in check, it will only be when they are all done in conjunction with one another that you will see the best results.
That being said, check it out.
You Are What You Eat
Ok, so this one is probably a “Duh!”, but mama, we need to put down the fast food and start seeking healthier on-the-go food options.
All of that greasy fried food may taste amazing, but it is wreaking havoc on our systems! Start adding more of the good stuff. Eat non-processed foods like fruits, veggies, lean meats, and eggs, in place of your drive-thru favorites and see how much better you start to feel.
I know it doesn’t always sound exciting, but you will thank yourself for it later.
How Are You Movin’?
I know, I know, you don’t have time to exercise. Here’s the truth of it though: You need to start making time, or you will forever suffer the consequences.
Seriously mama, for the sake of your gut health, get up and move a little each day more each day and you will really start to notice a difference.
Think you are already running your butt off with the kids every day? Try throwing in a couple of squats when you are folding the clothes. Take an extra trip up and down the stairs when you go to put away laundry. Maybe throw out your nighttime Candy Crush (yes, I know you are still playing that) routine and exchange it for a 10-minute yoga practice before bed.
I can assure you, you will never regret taking the few extra minutes to make your gut health a priority. Namely, because you will feel so much better for it.
Supplements for the Win
Now for the game changer.
Recently, I was provided a sample of the Country Life Gut Connection products to try and review through my partnership with Moms Meet. Having never tried a prebiotic before, but having plenty of experience with bloaty, crampy probiotics, I was kind of nervous. If it can improve my health without taking time away from my kids though, I am willing to give anything a try.
What I found was amazing. The County Life Gut Connection products not only worked for me without any negative side effects, but they actually have added to the quality of my daily activities. The company has eight different prebiotic products to target eight very different areas of your mom life while helping to maintain your gut health. Therefore, Country Life managed to kick my gut into high gear (in a good way) while boosting my energy levels throughout the day.
Gut Connection by Country Life contains an innovative, whole-food fermentate prebiotic that feeds the existing probiotics in your gut and helps maintain its lining.
All of this in two little supplements per day? Yes, please.
