Stroller Fan
Especially on the seasonably warm days, you will be happy that you invested in a fan to keep your kiddo cool! While there are several fans out there that are marketed for stroller use, my favorite is the Dreambaby Stroller Fan. This fan is relatively inexpensive at under $15.00 a pop, and comes in several super cute colors! Also, it has sturdy foam fan blades that work well to keep your baby cool while being friendly to curious little fingers. Its spring-loaded clip makes it easy to clip to your stroller sides, shade, or bars so that it is easily moved according to your little one’s needs. Pretty handy right? Super great for those days when the baby is just too hot to be happy.
Organizer Caddy
Ok, so I do not care who you are, there is just never enough room for all your stuff in a stroller. Especially if you have a simple umbrella stroller. You know what that means? You get the headache of trying to juggle the coffee you so desperately need to make it through the day, the phone you have to be keeping hold of, and pushing baby all at the same time. Fun times right?
This is the exact reason that I am constantly using some kind of a stroller organizer. While I am generally using the one I bought from Thirty-One years ago, I am in love with the design of this. It is compatible with just about any stroller out there and offers so many zippers and compartments to hold all your goodies. I am in LOVE! Stroller Clips
Another thing that I have found that many strollers lack, is enough room to store all of your stuff. This is especially true if you are out shopping, or if you are at the amusement park or zoo where you are carrying a lot of extra bags. I picked up these inexpensive stroller clips to solve my storage problems, and I will never look back. While some you can purchase hooks that will function the same way in holding your extra gear, I prefer the clips as they are a bit more sturdy, and they prevent people from walking up and easily taking off with your bags. (I really hate to consider that factor, but with crime rates on the climb, I stay aware of the fact that my belongings have the ability to grow legs and walk away.)
Rain Cover
Ever been out and about on an adventure and it starts raining? Ever done it with a little one in a stroller? Sucks eh? For this very reason, I love the idea of having a rain cover on hand. (Yea, this one I have not purchased yet).
I see moms (who are more prepared than I am) who are on outdoor adventures and when it starts to rain, they slip on this handy rain cover onto their stroller. Then they go about enjoying their day, and their kiddo is dry and happy. Meanwhile, mine is wet and screaming because I lacked in this area. (I would say I was busy at this point trying to get the baby under my poncho to keep them out of the rain and dry, but lets get real, I didn’t pack one of those either. One day maybe I will get on it.)
You can find the stroller rain cover I have in my cart on Amazon here. Like the stroller organizer, this cover is supposed to be universal to fit almost any stroller. It also has mesh vents on the sides to ensure that your little one has proper ventilation.
Linkables
Ok, so this last one does not really make a difference if your child is under the age of 3-4 months, but if you have an older baby or toddler, linkables will be your best friend in the stroller. Never heard of linkables? They are these ingenious toys designed to make chains out of. Super colorful, and super useful for clipping cups, pacifiers, and small toys to while your kiddo is in the stroller, linkables are totally worth the few dollars for piece of mind that they will provide!
Simply clip one side to your child’s item, and clip the other side of the chain link to the stroller. Guess what? Now you do not have to play “Where in the heck did my kid throw his cup out at?” all through your adventure. Instead, when baby gets mad and throws their cup, it is securely attached to the stroller. This way, you are not running around like mad trying to find the one and only item that is going to comfort your child while you are out and about that they tried to dispose of 200 yards back. (Can’t tell this has happened to me before can ya?)
Do you have any must have stroller accessories that have saved your families sanity? Have you tried any of these items in the past? Any that you are running out to get before your next outing? Let me know!
