The Keto Diet : The Perfect Mom Diet Plan
Dieting sucks. Well, it does most of the time anyway. Especially when it comes to finding a mom diet plan.
As moms, we are already busy running kids back and forth to activities, cooking upwards of 3 meals a day to keep everyone happy, cleaning, cursing, and chasing little ones. When in the heck do we have time to diet? If you have read my latest post you know I have been on the lookout for a lifestyle-changing diet.
What if I told you, however, that there was a mom diet plan out there that could fit your busy schedule, without making you freaking crazy in the process?
A diet plan that was not going to starve you to death, and that would leave you feeling great at the end of the day?
If this interests you, then the Keto diet may be the mom diet plan that was made for you!
Yeah, we have all heard and/or read about the Keto diet. You know, that plan where you eat next to no carbs or sugars, moderate proteins, and bulk up on healthy fats? It sounds kind of crazy and all, but what makes this the perfect plan for you?
Easy to Follow
The Keto diet has to be one of the simplest plans out there to follow. This makes it a perfect mom diet plan, as we already have enough shit going on in our lives. God knows we do not need one more complicated thing.
Simply put, when following Keto you want to stay within the realm of your daily food intake being 5% carbs, 25% proteins, and 70% healthy fats. Basically, you are cutting out almost all junk and processed foods, and staying under 20-50 grams of carbs per day.
This may sound crazy difficult, but once you start actually doing it, you will find it is super easy to achieve. At least in my mom life, the simpler it is, the more likely that I am going to succeed when it comes to lifestyle changes, making this change perfect!
Quick to See Results with this Mom Diet Plan
If you are anything like me, when you choose to engage in a diet plan, you need to see results. Not only do you need to see results, you need to see them quickly.
Guess what? Start doing the keto diet and you are not only going to see results, it you will see them quickly!
Six weeks on this awesome mom diet plan and I had dropped 18.5 lbs! I have never seen results like this before, and I am here to tell you, it is motivating.
Much Needed Energy Boost
One of the great benefits of utilizing Keto as your mom diet plan? Once you get through the initial adjustment period (which will suck, but doesn’t last long), you will have a rush of energy that is better than any energy drink I have ever tried.
Honestly, it gives you so much energy that it can cause some people to have problems sleeping. For me? I sleep approximately 6 hours per night, and as long as the kids will let me sleep, it is an amazing 6 hours.
Not gonna lie, we moms need that kind of energy in our lives.
Bulletproof Coffee is the Sh*t
One of the perks of the Keto diet is the coffee.
While coconut oil and butter may sound like the very last things you would want to invade your coffee in the morning, you are so wrong.
The Keto diet focuses on the consumption of healthy fat. Thus, the more you can shove in, the better (it actually can be difficult to consume the amount of healthy fats you need, so this coffee will be your friend). Adding bulletproof coffee to your mom diet plan will not only not only give you your morning buzz, but it will also keep you full all morning, keeping you from mindlessly snacking.
Plus, it is oddly satisfying.
Easily Adaptable
One thing I despise about dieting is the fact that you can never go out to eat and find something that actually fits your diet.
With Keto as your mom diet plan, however, you can eat practically anywhere. Once you master the 70% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carb rules, you can tailor fast food and dine-in restaurants alike to fit your diet and still leave the restaurant satisfied.
Pretty amazing, eh?
Your Hubby will Love this Mom Diet Plan
So one of the biggest things that has caused my diet plans to fail in the past is the fact that I have to eat something completely different than the rest of my family to stay on target. Namely, this is because my husband and kids do not want to eat rabbit food.
With Keto as my mom diet plan however, my husband is thrilled with my diet dinners.
With meals like Chicken Bacon Chowder and Steak topped with butter for dinner though, what is not to love?
